C300. Other than the exhaust note, yes, actually. It’s peppy and eager with minimal lag.

Coworker has an E300 and I kinda like the purple mood lighting
Does the C feel as...underwhelming...as previous generations?

How bad do you wish the wagon was sold in the USA?

I like it more than I expected to. I mean, I drive a 2014 C63 ordinarily, so it’s not like I’m expecting S-class-level luxury.

I set the brothel lighting in my car to blue, as I like blue.
Weird trivia , the font on that clock goes back to the ~2006 IWC partnership, where an IWC edition CLS55 had a clock with those numerals, then it became an AMG thing, now a MB thing. IWC also made a few watches with that font.

Extremely. Especially an AMG version.

What does the button with a picture of a car on it do? Makes another car appear?

What are your thoughts on that “grain?”

If I were shopping for something like it , I would certainly consider it. Other than the tacked-on infotainment screen I really like the interior design and it’s comfortable. The materials aren’t amazing to the touch but they’re certainly competitive in this kind of entry -level luxury segment. The buttons and switches all look and feel good, although the tiny touch-sensitive controls on the steering wheel would take some getting used to. I think it’s a nicer place to be than a comparable 3-series.

Interesting. I t definitely looks like a watch face.

I think it makes the infotainment system go to the car settings screen.

sweet, thanks! might look into one when my truck lease ends but by then (mid-2021) there will probably be a new C class. Thanks for your insight.
Also how many corpses fit in the trunk?

Mixed, but I think it’s b etter than piano black (fingerprints and dust) or plastic . It looks pretty good in person, although it doesn’t feel great. At least it has some tactile grain to it. Nothing like Audi’s higher-end wood-grain interiors, but I’m sure it’s as good as anything else in its direct competition.

I can only hope this discussion is about the E class based shooting brake AMG and lower priced spur options available in Europe.

What is the general screen based environment like for a driver?
As an example how difficult would it be
going from an audio menu open to direct need for window defogging while driving in
heavy and courageously
lane changing traffic at highway speeds. I could care less about nerding out on changing the pressure rating in the lumbar between nm and psi or other

The non-chrono watch dial is very similar to the car clock:
Same font used on the IWC edition CLS gauges.

It’s good, mostly because you wouldn’t have to do that. Stuff like defrosters and lights and whatnot are all real buttons. It’s simple to navigate the infotainment thing with the big knob and 2 buttons under your right hand or the touch controls on the steering wheel, once you get used to them. I got used to them while driving in traffic and changing lanes on the highway.

It is very similar. Works better as a car clock than a watch, though, if you ask me.

Canada gets the C43 wagon. Makes me sick to my stomach thinking how evil MBUSA is.

They seem pretty comfy to me, as well as extensively adjustable. Not sure what the previous ones were like.

I just built myself an C63S, haha. I’ve never been a Merc guy and I’d have to be in a P car for that kind of money. However, I really like it.

Also E53 wagon, and a fairly different way of doling out optional equipment. I wonder what is wrong with MBUSA, or the bigshot suits back in Stuttgart.

The matte/”open p ore” wood looks much better in brown, in my not so humble opinion:

I drive a 2014 C63 507 ed., and it’s going to be really hard to replace when the time comes. I wouldn’t replace it with a new C300, but it certainly makes a good service loaner or rental car.

Stellar, I was discussing the adaptation to a digital screen based environment, specifically referencing MB as a posterchild for highly complicated electronics, with someone yesterday.

You have company. Every enthusiast since the chicken tax was enacted has lamented those in Canuckistan having access to more worldly goods than the stateside regulations allow.
